Ava's butterfly party

Happy Birthday to my little Ava! I can't believe how big she has gotten. She is just so dang cute, and sweet (when she wants to be)and she just wants to learn everything. I am so blessed to have her in my life. There is nothing like waking up in the morning to her laying next to me saying, "oh good morning sweet heart."
Ava had a wonderful 3rd birthday. We got a great surprise in that 2 of Mike's brothers came out intime for her party. It was such a blast with all the little cousins running around with wings, and butterfly nets. We had a pinata that the kids "tried" to beat the crap out of. Mike had to finally pound it to death to open it up and then shook it all out. We also got a bounce house. The best thing ever!!! The kids just loved it. Ava got to eat her favorite foods...or more like sweets, and just loved wearing butterfly wings! It was a lot of work, but it was all worth it.

Sliders (coasta vida style shredded pork on hawaiian rolls)

Jell-O cups

Sams Club red potatoe salad (the best ever)

Franks in a blanket (again Sams Club knows what they are doing)

Fruit kabobs

Chinese chicken salad, minus the chicken

pop corn
and all the sugar you can imagine

Oh my favorite...Oreo cake pops. It is like a little piece of heaven

Linda found these edible rice paper butterflies on ETSY and the lady made them in different pinks, oranges, and yellows. They just added the perfect touch to the flower cupcakes.

Nothing like chocolate covered Oreos! For the first time ever, one oreo is actually enough!

My mom taught me how to layer jello. oh so yummy! and not to metion pretty. Took a while to make, but so worth the touch of color!

Each family took home a bubble gun and then each kid got their own bucket of goodies. Girls got...well girly things and butterfly stuff and boys got glow-in-the-dark bugs, and other boyish things. The nets were to put their candy in from the pinata.

AAAww, baby Kate

Ava was so excited to sing Happy Birthday. As soon as she saw me light the candel, she started bursting into song.

Just catching butterflies, or was it actually bees?

Fun for all ages and at a great price might I add. (fun in the sun, I'm tellin ya). We had the bounce house all day and the cousins just loved going from jumping to swimming and then back again. All day outside, nice and quiet inside...a grandma's best friend.

Wow that looked like one fun party. I feel like we really missed out on the fun:( You really are good with every little detail. Everything looked so colorful and coordinated so well. You and my Mom really should start a party business/blog.
