A fun present

I had this great idea for my sister-in-law's birthday. She has a small front porch but it just needed something....some heighth and flowers. What better than a beachy chair as a flower stand? (she loves beach stuff) I ran the idea past my brother (her hubby) and he thought it was a great idea! Now to find the right chair. It took a month to find just the right one on craigs list. I am glad I didn't just settle for anything. I sanded it down...oh how I love sanders, they are so magical and then found a soft beach blue that complemented her yellow house and white door. Linda and I found a great web site for vinyl letters and picked out a few different colors so we could see it in person.

To finish it off I found this beautiful hawaiian flower at Homedepot!!! I just love it. It all turned out better than I imagined. On the day I gave it to her, the flower had a fresh bloom. It was so ment to be. I took it to her house and tried to door bell ditch, but my brother was standing next to the door and caught me in mid knock. Happy Birthday!

Love what you did with the chair. The lettering on the back is so cute and adds such a nice warm touch to any front porch. What a great idea!
