I Believe I Can Fly

This past week we were in Newport Beach. We had a blast. The weather was amazing (mid 70's to mid 80's). More on the trip will follow with more posts. I just wanted to get this post up because it was so much fun. The day before we left I came across some videos online of indoor skydiving. It looked so cool. As I was looking for more and more videos of it I came across some that said it was located in Hollywood and the Universal Studios Citywalk. I then knew we had to check it out while we were in So Cal. Now I've been skydiving before so I was a little skeptical on how this indoor skydiving experience would compare, fun wise. Well Christy said I had to try it since that was the main reason for us going to the citywalk in the first place. So I signed up. Let me just tell you it was AWESOME!!! Christy got some pics and video of me so you can check out my flying skills. Here are a couple videos of my experience. The first one was just as I entered into the tube for the first time. The instructor is giving me hand signals on how to balance my body in the wind, then he lets me go. In the second video he is trying to tell me how to spin by turning my hands, then at the end of your turn he grabs you and lifts you up and down in the tube (which is the best part).

Now this is the instructor showing his skills after we all had our turns. I wish I could do what he does.

That looks so fun. I can't believe the stuff the instructor does in there, thats crazy. I imagine he has logged quite a few hours.

that's way rad mike! so you said it was awesome... but you didn't say how it compared to real skydiving? does it feel close to the same or is it totally different?
