Winter Wonderland Tree and Santa

Styrofoam Cone - Dollar Store
Book Paper - Dollar Store
Hot Glue (a lot) - Dollar Store
White Crape Paper - Dollar Store
2 1/2" Scalloped punch - Amazon.com....or a 2" scalloped punch works too - Hobby Lobby
Martha Stewart Clear Coarse Glitter - Michael's
White Gold Glitter - Michael's
White and Silver Floral Berries - Michael's
Santa - Vintageholidaycrafts.com
Floral Frog - try antique stores or garage sales
Mod Podge - Hobby Lobby
Vanilla paint - Michael's
Chipboard - Green Tangerine
Step 1: Using the scalloped punch, punch out A LOT of circles on book paper. Fold the paper circle around the end of a paint brush or your finger. The whole gluing process will go faster if all the paper is at this stage before gluing.

Step 2: Glue the crumpled circles to the Styrofoam cone starting at the base. Glue them close together or your tree will look sparse. Cover the entire tree going row by row.

Step 3: Cut a long strip of white crape paper and run it through the sewing machine. I kept my stitches small because I wanted very small gathers(just know that it takes a long time and a lot of patients to pull/gather the crape paper when forming the garland). Cut the crape paper so that the width is about 1/2".

Step 4: Using Mod Podge and a paint brush, make a thin line over the thread and cover with White Gold glitter. Set aside to dry.
Step 5: Find a Santa picture at vintageholidaycrafts.com and print him out on card stock (4x6). Mod Podge Santa to Chipboard and then cut out.

Step 6: Paint the backside of Santa a cream/vanilla color and let dry. Once dry, Mod Podge the front of Santa and apply Clear Coarse glitter. Again, let it dry. When dry, place Santa on a floral frog for a vintage unique look.

Step 7: Back to the tree....Once the garland is dry, hot glue it to the tree. I just used a dab of glue a the top, middle, and then the base. Have fun decorating the tree. I used white and silver berry clumps and stuck them into the Styrofoam. I then used a clear gloss spray and sprayed sections of the tree and then sprinkled some Clear Coarse glitter on it.
Simple concept, just time consuming, but makes for a fun Winter Wonderland display.
